Natura Morta is the eighth dream about Rèfles, and the first about Spiro: two fictional characters.

Rèfles is made of repressed emotions that wander in a single direction in the form of black plasma to be gathered in a liquid mass: his body. He has acquired over time his own consciousness and lives in a parallel dimension together with other Archetypes. He can communicate with humans only through dreams and art.

Rèfles recently escaped into Spiro’s body to give emotions back to humans. Spiro can easily travel between Planet Earth and Planet Vena, a parallel dimension where there’s no air, no money and no death.

A fragment of Rèfles hasn’t purposely descended on Earth for monitoring Spiro’s actions and to kill him eventually if he doesn’t fulfill his mission. On its first eight weeks among us, it goes in and out of dead animals and plants to steal their memories.

After produced the EP Points and a couple of other things, the first thing that came in mind was to put hands on the early works again to do a more proper mix. In music production, especially electronic music, instincts and regrets are the main forces to control. Everyday spent in mixing something means that you learn new skills and gain ear sensibility. It’s unavoidable that all the mistakes become visible even to a slighty more skilled ear. Especially for Chroma, I can’t listen to the original record anymore. I had to rework on it and, of course, now that few months are gone I’ve got regrets also for this one. But it’s time to move on and work at the new album. And then to find a proper channel.
